Friday My Town Shoot Out - Bridges

This week it's a suspension bridge in Rosedale, just outside dinosaur town Drumheller. The Star Mine Suspension Bridge, built in 1931, was originally used by coal miners to gain access to the Star Mine. Now it is open to the public and provides views of the Red Deer River.

Friday My Town Shoot Out - Yellow Flower, New Shoe, First Leaf

I have cheated on this entire post! 

First off, these pictures aren't even from my current town, they're back from when I lived on the west coast. Although I have re imagined them for today's entry.

...this first one, Yellow Flower is probably the most truthful:

But then there is the matter of new shoes, I currently have no new shoes! It's winter here and they would just get muddy and salt stained anyways. So I've cheated (hard to believe I know!).

This is my mental note that the hubby needs new shoes:

Now we come to my last picture this week, first leaf, or rather new leaves! I had to look at some old garden pictures to cheer me up today, as outside there isn't even one little leaf on those cold, icy branches.

Friday My Town Shoot Out - Water

At this time of year most of Westlock's water looks like this:

Braving a nip at your nose wind I set out this afternoon to take a closer look for some watery sights.

As I walked through the graveyard I saw a little angel sat down by some water, looking heavy in thought:

My cowboy boots splashed along the cobble stone path, half submerged in water:

To the right lay a lonely looking flower in a watery place, blown away from its headstone:

Just around the bend a mini mountain and its shimmering lake:
