Black n White Sunday - Elevator Going Down
A rare breed now, with most old grain elevators being torn down it is always a joy to see one on the horizon.
Friday My Town Shoot Out - Bridges
This week it's a suspension bridge in Rosedale, just outside dinosaur town Drumheller. The Star Mine Suspension Bridge, built in 1931, was originally used by coal miners to gain access to the Star Mine. Now it is open to the public and provides views of the Red Deer River.

Triple Take Tuesdays - Windows in Time
Stopped in Flat Lake Saturday to stretch my legs. An old family home had been donated to the church and converted for worship, and is now three windows in time.

Triple Take Tuesday - Week 1
Here is the first weekly posting of Triple Take Tuesday!
Feel free to link up your TTT post below.
This week it's three crosses on what I believe is a Greek Orthodox church, one of the many I have come across on my back road travels.
Linky will be posted Tuesday morning, as my computer is not cooperating this evening!

Triple Take Tuesday - The Prequel
The Intro
I think I may have become a little obsessed with linkys after recently re-entering the blogosphere! I can't seem to stay away from them, small or large, serious or light hearted. They all allow me to connect with lots of interesting and insightful bloggers from all over the world. I have even been inspired to start another weekly photography linky and I hope you will join me.The Details
Welcome to Triple Take Tuesday! This is my example post and the linky will start in earnest next Tuesday (March 18th). There is no weekly theme however your photo(s) must have not two and not four but three main subjects, thus the Triple Take. Threes' seem to be everywhere we look; a triangles' points, rule of thirds, third times a charm, etc. Please title your posts Triple Take Tuesday - "Week __", week 1 will start next Tuesday. The linky will open Monday at midnight and close Wednesday evening. I encourage you to grab the button and join us each week for more Triple Takes.
Button coming soon!

When Buildings Fall
seeking warm shelter amongst wooden ribs,
in a northerly cold, splintering joints throbbed
like cowering bulbs grown weary of spring fibs

Windfall, Alberta
There stands a forget me not town
with homes now houses fallen down,
a sign post and a tower tall
but there's nobody left in Windfall.
According to Wikipedia, Windfall Alberta once boasted a healthy population of 101 residents in the early 60's, however the draw of nearby Whitecourt soon left the small town empty. Family homes and cottages were trucked out to new lots in Fox Creek. Although the signs for Windfall still remain along Hwy 43 the only sign of life is a gas plant now operated by Husky Oil.
